Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

This policy describes what information is handled when you read lamauve.com, why it is used and what choices you have. The operator is the person or organisation running Lamauve, and we and us refer to the operator.

Visit logs

The servers that deliver Lamauve keep standard logs. An entry may include your IP address, the time of the visit, the page requested, your browser and device type and the referring page. We use them to keep recipes and guides loading, to catch errors and abuse, and to see broadly which articles are read. Our lawful basis is a legitimate interest in running a secure, working site.

Cookies and similar technology

Lamauve may use a few cookies or similar browser storage that pages need in order to display properly. We run no analytics, advertising or affiliate tracking at present. If the site ever adds them, this policy will be updated first, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent.

Controls in your browser

Your browser lets you delete stored cookies, open private windows or add extensions that restrict trackers. If it sends a do-not-track or global privacy signal, we will honour it as an opt-out wherever the site’s technology allows. Blocking some storage may change how pages look, but recipes and articles should stay readable.

Email and messages

When you write to [email protected], we receive your address and whatever you include, such as a recipe correction or a question about a cooperative. We use it to answer you, fix mistakes and keep a record, relying on your request and our legitimate interest in an accurate publication. Your note is never sold, and it stays unpublished unless you agree to its use.

Newsletters and forms

If Lamauve offers a newsletter or form, such as a seasonal recipe digest, the details you enter are used only for that purpose, on the basis of your consent. Every issue will explain how to stop, or you can email us to be removed.

Outside services

A food website relies on outside providers. These include the hosting that serves pages to your device and, if the site ever adds them, embedded videos, maps, analytics tools or advertising and affiliate networks. They may receive technical data about your visit so their service works, under their own notices. Today, the main outside service is hosting.

How long data is kept

Visit logs are kept only for a short rolling window before they are erased or boiled down to counts that identify nobody. Emails are kept while they help us answer you, correct an article or meet a legal duty, then deleted. Newsletter details, if collected, last until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask what personal information we hold, have it corrected or erased, object to certain uses, restrict processing or receive a copy. To make a request, email [email protected] and say what you want. We may confirm your identity first, and we will reply within the time the law sets.

Withdrawing consent

Where we rely on consent, for a newsletter or any optional cookie, you can withdraw it at any time. The Cookie Policy page linked in the footer explains how to change your choices, and you can also email us to unsubscribe.

Making a complaint

If you are unhappy with how your information was handled, you may complain to your local data protection authority in the EU, EEA or UK, or to the OAIC in Australia. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, but you need not contact us before going to a regulator.

Young readers

Lamauve covers cooking, baskets and farm cooperatives for adults and is not meant for under-13s. We do not set out to collect anything about a child. If a young person has messaged lamauve.com, a parent or guardian can email us, name the message and ask for deletion, and we will remove it.

Security

Pages reach you over encrypted connections, and only the operator opens the inbox that receives your recipe questions. No internet system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

Data moving between countries

Providers that host or deliver Lamauve may process data in countries other than yours, where privacy rules can differ. We choose providers with care, but by reading the site you accept that technical data about your visit may travel this way.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as Lamauve or the law changes. The effective date above shows when this version began, and significant changes, such as adding analytics or advertising, will appear here before taking effect.

Raising a concern

You may take back any consent you gave us at any point; what happened before stays lawful. See the cookie policy page for the cookies in use and how to manage them. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK you can complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office); in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
